Stefan Hillesheim, originally from, Germany, is widely recognized for his exceptional fingerstyle and slide guitar playing, soulful vocals, and remarkable songwriting abilities. He pursued his studies in classical guitar in Germany under the guidance of Hubert Käppel, one of the most influential classical guitarists and educators of his era. At the age of 27, Stefan relocated to Los Angeles, California, to attend Musicians Institute (GIT), where he received the prestigious "Most Improved Student" award for the year 2015.
Shortly thereafter, Stefan began performing at renowned gospel churches and live music venues throughout the country. He has collaborated and continues to work with a number of notable artists, including Ellis Hall (former member of Tower of Power), Brent Carter (Average White Band), Tony Llorenz (former Albert King Band, former Stevie Ray Vaughan), Emerson Cardenas (former Santana), Bobby Kimball (former Toto), Frank Nitty (former 2Pac), and James Fortune (gospel recording artist).
